Meet the Ottawa Tea Guild Team!

Lisa Banville is relatively new to the tea world but her passion for the camellia sinensis plant is unmistakable. She founded her own online tea store in Ottawa called Tealee to share her original tea blends with friends, family and all other tea drinkers. Lisa is currently in the process of being a certified Tea Sommelier with the Tea Association of Canada and can't wait to travel around the world and visit various tea plantations.

Jessica Hughes is a Certified Tea Sommelier with the Tea Association of Canada. She consults on tea blending, tea menu design, and tea themed events such as bridal showers, baby showers, afternoon tea, birthday parties, and holiday parties. Jessica has an Honours Degree in Sociology from Carleton University, a Business – Management and Entrepreneurship diploma from Algonquin College, and is the owner of Queen of Tea.

Together, Lisa and Jessica created the Ottawa Tea Guild. The goal is to bring together all tea enthusiasts in the Ottawa area by hosting a wide range of tea events, promoting local tea shops, and spreading our love of tea with the local community.

We hope to see you at some of our events and encourage you to bring along your tea loving friends, family, co-workers etc.
